Pelissero wines, barbaresco DOCG, Barbera D'Alba DOC.

Features

Pelissero produced wines since 1960, for three generations.
The Langhe are the scenario, earth of Nebbiolo vine : one of the most important wine area in the world.

A wide range of very important wines among Barbaresco DOCG, Langhe DOC rosso, Langhe DOC Nebbiolo, Barbera D'Alba DOC, Dolcetto D'Alba DOC.

The Barbaresco wines stand out above all others in quality and depth, but many productions of this winery (Dolcetto D'Alba, Langhe DOC Rosso Long Now, etc.) are among the best expressions of Italian production in last decade.

The winery is equipped with modern technology, but at Pelissero, tradition and innovation coexist: each wine has its own peculiarities and techniques are diversified to bring out the best character in each wine.

The legislative decree N° 61 of April 8th 2010, all the wines D.O.C. and D.O.C.G. had to merge into the P.D.O. denomination, with the possibility to maintain the D.O.C. and D.O.C.G. "old" denominations.

Barbaresco DOCG Nubiola 2016

Made with grapes of some vineyards, express the best of each grapes and terroirs combined in a wine. It is a full-bodied, very intense wine, aged for 20 months in large oak barrel. On the nose is fruity and floral with red fruits and officinal herbs notes; to the mouth is soft, velvet, with right tannins and a final slightly astringent and right persistent.




Barbaresco DOCG Vanotu 2016

Fermentation at controlled temperatures and temporized punching-down, maturing in barrique for about 2 years and 9 months in bottle.
on the nose is quite varied with fruity notes (raspberry, cherry. etc.) with hints of rose, sage, mint, thyme. In the mouth is velvety, broad with sweet and persistent tannins.



Dolcetto D'Alba DOC Augenta

A grapes maceration in stainless steel with controlled temperature for 10-12 days, cold decanting and an ageing in oak barrel for 6-7 months to control/harmonise the strong tannin load due to the soils.


Production area

The vineyards - 42 hectares - are located in 5 municipalities of Langhe territory, Piedmont region.
Pelissero cultivates three kind of grape variety, Nebbiolo, Barbera and Dolcetto. The yearly production is about 250.000 bottles
